No Wrong Door provides a way for human services agencies to refer and track consumers that need help using a specialized application developed for Gloucester County Human Service Providers. The participants encompass members of the formal human services providers and the informal human service providers. Consumers will be able to be referred to the appropriate agency to help with their specific problem. The No Wrong Door system will help tie both the formal human services and informal human services network together to help track consumers and track total assistance rendered for utility, rental, mortgage, and ad hoc medical or prescription expenses.
How does the program work? – Consumers in need of assistance for housing (rent or mortgage) expense, help with utilities, or prescription assistance contact agencies or community groups for help. Members of the No Wrong Door System will work with agencies or community groups to pool resources to meet the need of those in assistance. By tracking the requests for assistance and the resources expended to help, a clearer picture of the actual need will emerge. This will help in developing solutions to the poverty that plagues some of our communities.
Services offered by the Program - Social service agencies and community organizations can become members of the No Wrong Door network. A specialized application is used to refer those in help to agencies that can assist, follow-up, track outcomes and expenditures. For more information about the program contact UOSS at (856) 663-2888.
